Message: I am trying to research the identity (and/or photographs)of a PBY that landed on the River Medway, Kent circa late '44. It was both beached and moored in the Shorts works area. Eventually I've been told it lost its wings and was towed to an area called Whitewall Creek and lived in as a house boat for a few years into the early 50's. What happened then I do not know.
Local magazines have confirmed all of the above but unfortunatly local council archives have no mention of this happening.
