Message: V.J.Browne, my 85 year old father just gave me his
"observer's and air gunner's flying log book"
from his time in Stranraer in 1942 to leaving Koggala in 1944.

He's Irish from wexford and Sandycove, Co.Dublin.
He was an assistant flight engineer to (Mertz) in 413 Squadron from 42 to 44. He told me that on their last flight from the maldives back to Koggala, his Captain(Gelman-saskatchewan) decided to fly around a weather front, but another Cat, which went through it, went down.
